May be its the return gift to our Birthday wishes to A. R. Rahman...
Patakha Guddi from the film Highway, the first song is out.
The first impression with the electric kick drum made me think if ARR was again trying to cope up with the present trend of Dhik Chak Dhik Chak... But as the song approached, I stayed numb... Oh my Gosh!!! It was something with Folk. Well I actually have no idea of which regional folk it is. But still can guess that its a Himachali Folk. (I'll make the correction if I'm wrong). The song still has the trending pop beats and synthetic lead in it. Will make the DJ's easy to turn it down with their mind sucking remixes..
The song has got the full package with the traditional flute, drums, dholak and sahenai and obviously the regional style including the Rahman special signature strings and the trending electronic kicks, claps, snares, lead.. What not??.. It also has the Humming ARR voice.. Pruppu pu.. like we have got in Rang De Basanti's Roobaroo Roshni..
The Flute is simple but will surely move forward touching your heart as you'll be finding the essence and this will surely make you rewind the song back to re listen the flute and I'm sure about it...
Over all, an awesome composition and great voices by Sultana and Jyoti Nooran, the strings is awesome but its as usual, the same ARR style and the chords.. And the Guitars? It might be none other than Keba, I'm 80% sure about it...
This would be a healing touch if you are getting irritated with all those mind sucking compositions like the 'Lungi, Naagin, Dhating' Naaches and all those latest Honey Singh craps... This track will be your latest Pain relief Balm against those mind suckers.... Enjoy it..
I can't rate any of A. R. Rahman's track...
#ThankYou sir...
