The first episode of MTV Coke Studio season 3 was a massive hit which was aired on 17th of August 2013 and it was all because of the composer, who directed the massive hit compositions. It was non other than the double Oscar winner music director A. R. Rahman. Composing some beautiful tracks of different genres of India as well as a Buddhist and Jordanian composition (combined track named Zariya), and also singing a stanza of Rabindra Nath Tagore in Bengali, "Chitto Jetha Voyer Shunno, Uncho jethaa sheer", the legendary composer made his audience dumbstruck. ARR has brought in Padmabhushan Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan, his three sons and his Grandson too, Ani Choying of Nepal for a traditional buddhist composition and Farah Siraj of Jordan. Including them, there were known faces like Sivamani, ARR's sister Rayhana, Rapper Blaaze and students of KMMC.
