Xmedia recode, just a 5.5MB open source software, according to me is the best video converter for windows. It was when I bought the iPad and VLC player was not available then. And so I was worried of the way to play videos of different formats in my iPad as it could play only .mp4 format with H264 codec and I had got a loads of .mkv HD videos that I would have loved to store in my iPad. But there was no other way than converting them to .mp4 formats. I used Total Video Converter but converting HD files to other formats lead them to make huge file sized videos!!! So, got no way out... Well the problem was solved with Xmedia Recode.

Yeah!! Just a 5.5MB software could do what others couldn't do!!
Xmedia recode cannot just convert the file format but it can change the file format without changing the codecs and this is one of the best feature of this small sized big worker. And this helps in no much increase in the output file size and also the conversion time is too less with minimum CPU usage and provides the same output quality as the input. Well it can also convert codecs, but that results in huge file size difference,  more time consuming and CPU usage but surprisingly no reduced quality where other video converters suffer the most! You can also extract the audio from the video if you want only the audio part. Again it stands tall where others can't. It 'extracts' the audio without converting the codecs or reducing the quality. And thus you get the perfect audio from your favourite video... Well it supports all media formats....

Try Xmedia Recode.. Click Here to download this small awesome video converter...
